NYA Exchange Programme 2027
Nordic Young Anaesthesiologists (NYA) and The Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (SSAI) are proud to announce the NYA Exchange Programme for Trainee Doctors in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care 2027.
The NYA Exchange Programme offers trainees a grant and the opportunity to visit a host department in one of the Nordic countries: Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark or Sweden during a stay of one-two weeks (5-10 working days).
Grant recipients are able to set up their own exchange arrangement or use one of the departments that NYA already has an exchange agreement with.
The grant is set at 10.000 DKK (≈1.340 EURO) to cover accommodation and travel costs.
Applicant requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a trainee in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine.
- Live and work in one of the SSAI countries.
- Complete the exchange within 2027 and before the end of their residency.
Applicants agree to:
- Be responsible for any and all arrangements, including travel and accommodation, relating to the exchange stay.
- Abide by requirements set by their host department.
- Send a confirmation of your stay signed by the host department to NYA before the grant will be paid out.
- Send a written report about their exchange experience to NYA within 2 months of completing the exchange. The report can be used on SSAI website and/or other online channels
Application must include
- Cover letter written in english language (maximum 1 A4 page ≈ 500 words)
- Description of you and your motivation for participating in the exchange programme
- Number of postgraduate years/months experience in anaesthesia/intensive care medicine
- Description of any
- voluntary work
- international work
- organisational work
- teaching activities
- postgraduate research (first authorship or PhD)
- former application for the NYA exchange programme
- Curriculum Vitae
- Prioritisation of your preferred host departments (proposed or self arranged)
List of suggested host departments will be available on SSAI website by November 30th
